Carrie Ferrante has been writing for the better part of her life.

She began her professional career by writing and directing the first undergraduate feature film at LIU Post, Us & ThemUs & Them would go on to be nominated for and win numerous awards at a variety of festivals across the country. She was also selected as the most recent graduate on the list of “Notable Alumni” from Long Island University. In 2013 Carrie co-founded The Majors Productions with 3 of her fellow Post alums, and TMP has swiftly made a name for itself in the tri-state area as a go-to production company for quality narrative and corporate film work. Since then, Carrie has worked on a range of award-winning films including The Last Taxi DriverLeaving, (DirecTV screening selections, Amazon Prime, and distribution) Bloodlines, and A Thousand Words, a co-production with BeeReel Pictures that she wrote and produced.

In 2020 Carrie completed post-production for her second directorial effort, Are You Lonesome Tonight, which has been continuously traveling the festival circuit, screening at over a dozen festivals so far and garnering awards such as “Best Horror Film”, “Best Writing”, and “Best Actress”. She presently works as a freelance writer and screenwriter in Connecticut.

In September 2020 Carrie and her partner, Sean, launched the podcast Ain’t It Scary? with Sean & Carrie focusing on examining the weirder side of life: true crime, unsolved mysteries, unexplained phenomena, and other bizarre events. With their dueling perspectives (she’s a believer, he’s a skeptic) Carrie and Sean bring a unique point of view to even the strangest stories while trading jokes and historical minutiae, making every episode feel like you’re hanging out with friends as they discuss and dissect the craziest things they’ve ever heard of. AIS? regularly gains over 6,000 downloads/listens monthly to date, and was invited to become a part of the Killer Podcasts/Evergreen Podcasts network.

Carrie enjoys traveling with her husband, history, photography, playing with her 8 year old dachshund Poe (named after the writer!), reading, catching up on film and television, playing tabletop games, beachcombing, rocking bar trivia whenever she can, (poorly) playing her ukulele, and listening to doo-wop music, oldies, and her favorite band- The Killers.
